Writer and fellow host Matt Cain, who will host a weekly Pride UK show called “The Sunday Roast”, replied: “Welcome to the family! It’s going to be such a laugh!
BBC Radio Wiltshire presenter Shivani Dave, who came out live non-binary last year, said on Instagram that they would host on the radio from â4 pm to 7 pm every day of the weekâ.
They added: âRadio has always had the power to bring people together, like no other medium can.
âAt a time when our community is targeted and even more marginalized, it is incredibly powerful that Virgin Radio UK dedicates an entire station to all LGBTQ + people to celebrate and share their experiences.
“I’m honored to be a part of it and can’t wait to laugh, cry and dance with the listeners.”
From June 7, the Pride UK radio station will be available to listen to on DAB in London, online and on the Virgin Radio app.
