And now Chris Evans is back at the resort with his Breakfast Show.
What is Virgin Radio and when was it launched?
Virgin Radio UK is a national radio station owned by Wireless, which was acquired by News UK in 2016.
The station was originally launched in 1993 and was renamed Absolute Radio (now owned by Bauer Media) in 2008.
The station’s premiere new look aired at 11 a.m. on March 30, 2016, from a Virgin Train by Edith Bowman and Matt Richardson.
The first song played was a live cover of David Bowie’s Changes.
According to the latest figures, Virgin Radio now has 413,000 listeners per week, for a total of 1,543,000 hours.
What time is Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio?
Chris Evans returned to Virgin Radio on Monday, January 21, 2019, where he hosts the Breakfast Show weekdays from 6.30am to 10am.
He kicked off his new show with a little help from his wife Natasha Shishmanian and their sons Noah and Eli.
Chris Evans, 52, spent 13 years on Radio 2 but stunned listeners on September 3, 2018, when he said he was stepping down to start a “new adventure”.
He said he “loved every minute” of working on the flagship show, but has now revealed he is returning to his “spiritual home” at Virgin.

He previously hosted the Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio between 1997 and 2001 and will join the station for the third time.
Speaking of his new appointment, he said: “In many ways Virgin Radio is my spiritual home.
“I only see exciting and revolutionary opportunities ahead.
“In a medium that changes so rapidly on a daily basis, the growth potential is unprecedented.
“Our plan is this: give everything we have, see where we can go and have as much fun as possible along the way. It makes me smile every time I think about it. “
